Collectivism/Individualism
This project explores the concepts of collectivism and individualism — two opposing cultures that manifest in various forms in our physical reality.
Through research on the beliefs and values of both cultures, and inspired by my own upbringing, I hope to showcase both sides as equal -
one is not better than the other. A bold, whimsical, and confident look is equally as valuable as a more demure and elegant look.
My collection is the voice for people who grew up with either of these values, or have struggled with balancing the influences of both.
